Mary: Originally written as a pretty ballad, Mary became one of the more ambitious tracks in the project.  I thought the original version was repetitive and decided to keep only half of the song.  The second half marked a complete change with driving guitar chords and an up tempo melody.  The contrast is very effective in telling the story of Mary of Magdalene at Jesus' tomb,  Sunday morning.  She can't find the body of Jesus and asks a gardener for help.  The gardener simply says "Mary"...and her world is forever changed. I love Bible stories.  Doing them in song form represents a unique challenge.  I love the way this one turned out.  Such victory in the message.  As a footnote: People who know both Tim and me say without disagreement that the first half is me and the second half is Tim. Not true of course.  I can rock with the best of them.
